How does mypensionID work?
Download the App
In your Invitation Letter you will find your Unique Security Code to log into mypensionID. Download the app to get started.
Make sure you have your smartphone, your unique Security Code from your invitation letter and either your Passport, your Driving Licence or your National ID card. Make sure your chosen document is in date.
Take a selfie
You will need to take a selfie to create your biometric ID. Make sure you get your full face in and you are in a well-lit area. The oval guide frame on the screen will turn green when it's ready for you to take your selfie.
You'll be asked to do this twice. On the second one you will need to blink. This is the movement recognition check to provide added security. Blink slowly and your image will automatically be captured.
Take a Picture of Your Photo Identification
Next you'll be asked to take a picture of your valid photo ID. You can use the photo page of your Passport, Driving Licence or National ID card. Make sure you are in a well-lit area and there is no glare on the document. You'll find it easier if the document is laid flat on a dark surface and you hold your device over the document.
Check and Verify Your Details
Once your biometrics have been matched and verified, you'll be asked to check and confirm your personal details that your pension provider currently has. It's important that you check everything so that your pension provider can keep your record up to date.
You are Verified
Use the app to keep your data up to date every time you move or when your pension provider requests you to verify your details again.
